I know drills and workouts that help increase vertical jump, but should I train my legs to jump higher or just play basketball everyday and not worry about it?

Yeah if you play everyday you’re bound to do a lot of running and jumping and going for rebounds. You’ll naturally get more adept to the game and your vertical will naturally increase. If you want faster results though, you should use weights and do drills after you play. Jump when you’re tired because that’s when you get better, not when you’re fresh
you should wear weights everytime you play
You need to do things that help your vertical. You could play basketball all day and you won’t get a better vertical.
only if you try shooting
i play netball (cos i am a girl)
my vertical jump has increased but only cos i am usually goal or defence so i have to block the ball
i wouldn’t worry about it cos vertical jumping is useless unless you play sports
If you want your vertical jump to increase. Wear ankle weights 24 / 7 and when you practice. Also, doing squats will help out.
yes i guess
Playing a lot is always going help with skills and technique over time but you will not maximize your potential unless you work on an aspect more specifically. It depends on how fast you want to increase your jumping too. This article might help some:
